HV = HIGH VOLTAGE : It stands for a revolutionary concept applied to a new High End electronic line, created to cater for the demanding audiophile lover of two-channel reproduction of the highest possible quality.
An incredibly sophisticated design concept built using solid aluminium sets out the platform for the truly outstanding features of the HV series. The scale of the development and workmanship on which these machines are based is unprecedented.

PDT 3100 HV

The core of the PDT 3100 HV is the new, modern decoder / disc mechanism, which we have developed specifically for audio applications. It features the latest processors, lasers, high-performance motors and other components, all designed to provide the optimum conditions for perfect, error-free disc reading characteristics. This unit is fully shielded, and housed in a very substantial aluminium case machined from solid aluminium, designed to prevent any form of interaction between the moving parts of the mechanism and the remainder of the player. This entire disc mechanism block is mounted on just two close-tolerance linear bearings, which in turn are suspended from a thick carrier plate; the latter is fixed to the central case plate at only three points. This design ensures that the whole mechanism is completely isolated from the heavy external housing.

SDV3100HV / SD3100HV

In the SDV 3100 HV we have now created a digital / analogue converter which is even more complex and sophisticated than our previous converters, allowing us to double previous resolution levels: 32-bit / 768 kHz for PCM and DSD 1024 for bitstream data. This improvement required us to carry out meticulous refinement work on the previous converters, and at the same time develop a completely new USB receiver for these high frequencies.
The SDV 3100 HV and SD 3100 HV are identical in their mechanical and electronic construction except for the pre-amplifier section (volume control and analogue input), which is added to the SDV 3100 HV. 
The SDV 3100 HV – and also a full HV system – can be controlled using the F 3100 remote control handset or one of the T+A apps.

PA3100HV

The PA3100 HV is an audiophile High-End integrated amplifier packed full of unique, newly developed technological features. The measured values, specifications and power generated by this machine represent the limit of what is physically possible. The components and materials employed are of first-class quality, without compromise, and the workmanship of the case sets new standards unequalled even by far more expensive equipment.

MP3100HV

The MP 3100 HV incorporates further refinements of T+A’s most renowned components, developed without compromise. It is one of the finest and most refined players they have every built and features complete symmetry of channel separation in its construction. At its core is the new quadruple digital-to-analogue converter, whose origins can be traced back to the High-End V-series and R-series CD-SACD players. It processes the signals from the jitter reduction stage, whose own design philosophy is totally unique, and receives data from the high-quality pushrod-operated CD mechanism. The MP3100HV, introduced late 2017 benefits from the latest technology, leading to improved functionality (such as SACD compatability) and superb sound from all sources.

P3100 – A3000 – PS3000 HV

The P 3100 HV is the audiophile High-End pre-amplifier of the series and represents the universal control centre for the individual new HV machines. It is equipped with unique, newly developed technologies and innovative circuit designs. Its measured results, specification and sound quality represent the limit of what is physically feasible. The components and materials employed are uniformly of top quality, without any hint of compromise and the workmanship of the case sets standards, unmatched even by far more expensive products.

The A 3000 HV is the ideal power amplifier and complement to the P 3100 HV pre-amplifier. It is designed as a stereo power amplifier, but can also be configured to work in mono mode. In which guise it is capable of delivering twice the current – which it then doubles in to pure Class-A mode. Thanks to HV technology, this powerhouse offers superb sound characteristics as well as incredible power and performance: a standard which is unsurpassed even by far more expensive amplifiers.

The PS 3000 HV is a supplementary mains unit which was developed specifically for the A 3000 HV power amplifier. The A 3000 HV delivers more than 500 Watts of power into 4 Ohms, and as such a high level of sound quality and performance is achieved. It was discovered that simply increasing the output power of an amplifier – and with it the voltage – produced no significant improvement in sound quality but improvement of the overall power-supply feeding the power-amplifier garnered far greater results.

M40HV

The M 40 HV provides our HV-series High-Res players and pre-amplifiers with a unique, uncompromising power amplifier which satisfies the most extreme audiophile demands under a vast range of operating conditions. Of course, it can also be used to form the perfect power amplifier for any other High-End set of equipment. One thing we have learned in our forty-year history is that the world of electro-acoustics does not permit a single perfect solution to all requirements; instead every overall design philosophy offers its own strengths and weaknesses. And that is why we have consistently developed optimum solutions for each requirement, whether it is based on valve technology or the very latest form of digital signal processing.

The M 40 HV combines our experience in the various areas of High-End audio technology: audiophile valve construction for the input stages, High Voltage technology for the transistor stages, intelligent thermal processor control for the output stages together with our usual uncompromising case design and construction.

To achieve all this we have equipped our finest power amplifier with a circuit design which is unique in the world, combining classic analogue techniques, valve technology, High Voltage amplifier design and intelligent parameter control. The entire input amplification section is based on carefully selected High-End valves of the 6SN7 type, operating in Class-A mode. This results in a very harmonious sonic image, and instils the musical and tonal advantages of valve technology in the sound character of the M 40 HV. The input stage is designed as a symmetrical differential amplifier exploiting an all-valve cascode circuit. The subsequent voltage amplifier stage is a High Voltage (HV) J-FET amplifier circuit with triode performance characteristics, which also operates in pure Class-A mode. The result is excellent bandwidth and an agile performance which defines the sound qualities of the amplifier as a whole.

At the input side the current amplifier stages are based on MOSFET driver transistors whose performance curve harmonises superbly with the HV voltage amplifier stage. At the output side the current amplifiers are equipped with no fewer than twenty extremely high-performance ring emitter bi-polar transistors. These components satisfy the most extreme demands in terms of current supply capacity and bandwidth.

THE R SERIES

The R-series is T+A’s oldest and most important product group. First presented in the year 1992, the system’s technology, operating philosophy and appearance were immediately convincing in every respect. With this range they were determined to introduce revisions only when genuine improvements were possible. With this in mind the new R-series is a completely new development and for this reason the models bear an all new title: 2000 R for the low-profile cases, and 2500 R for the taller version. The series consists of the PA 2000 R integrated amplifier, the larger PA 2500 R integrated amplifier, MP 2000 R and MP2500R multi-source players and finally the G 2000 R turntable.

PA 2000 R  –  PA 2500 R  – INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS

Building neat compact integrated amplifiers, offering high output power and superb sound quality is an art at which T+A has no peer. As proof of this claim we present the PA 2000 R integrated amplifier. It is incredibly dynamic, powerful and incisive. There are two reasons behind these characteristics: the extremely linear output stages with very low negative feedback, which are a completely new development, and the new form of mains power supply employed.

Twice as tall, higher output power and even more connection facilities – the PA 2500 R exceeds the specification of the PA 2000 R in many areas but its character , in terms of sound quality, is in no way inferior to its smaller sibling. The reason we say this is that often, in the quest for more power, the subtle musical nuance that makes music so alluring, can be so easily lost.

MP 2000 R  –  MP2500R  – MULTI-SOURCE PLAYERS

The MP 2000 R and MP2500R  are genuine musical multi-talents. At first glance the casual observer may think an MP is just a classic CD player, but its true capabilities extend far beyond this. At its heart lies one of the world’s latest and most sophisticated digital – analogue converters (DAC). This converts PCM signals up to 384 kSps with the help of the quadruple converter – another in-house development – and even DSD files up to DSD 512. The MP 2000/2500 R is therefore able to exploit every digital music format in order to deliver music to the amplifier in the highest possible quality. These multi-source players house a first-class CD mechanism (SACD compatible in the case of the MP2500R), a high-performance digital tuner offering FM, FM-HD and DAB+ reproduction, as well as a high-quality Bluetooth streaming module for receiving music from mobile devices. Then, to finish off this swiss army knife product, it includes a streaming client with Internet radio for connection to the home network via LAN and WLAN, USB Master Mode and HD streaming, plus a digital connecting board with inputs for external sources (two USB device modes and four HD-S/P-DIF).

G 2000 R – TURNTABLE

Contrary to all the predictions, vinyl has managed to sustain and even consolidate its right to exist over a period of several decades. Back in the 1990’s, when the medium was almost completely swamped by the CD, there were many who lamented its lost qualities; especially the almost tactile sound, with its subjectively warmer nature. In comparison with the CD there is no doubt that vinyl is impractical and space-consuming, but precisely for this reason it had something which the new media lacked: a distinctive character. The old R-series G 1260 R turntable was a very successful design. True to the heritage, T+A have carried out further development work on this product and have introduced a number of improvements. The unit now joins the new R-series as a means of reproducing high-quality analogue sound media capable of setting standards with its sound quality and its unique design features.

THE 200 SERIES

The Series 200 was developed with the goal of closing the supposed gulf between high-grade specialised individual devices – ‘separates’ – and a combined system for relaxed listening. Although all the Series 200 devices offer outstanding levels of performance individually, the aim of their development was to make them even better when used together in a system. The integral T+A Link System has been fine-tuned to meet the specific requirements of the Series 200, with the result that every device is as universal as possible, as well as keeping interference signals completely separate from the analogue signal path: this ensures that the music remains just as clear and precise as it was when the artiste performed it.

DAC200

The DAC 200 is the latest member of an extended family of High-End converters and pre-amplifiers. Every aspect of its design symbolises our uncompromising commitment to science and music. The ability to reproduce DSD 1024 files and its complete galvanic separation are just two highlights which underline the potential of the DAC 200 in impressive style. The DAC 200 is designed to convert a large number of digital formats into natural-sounding analogue signals, and to pass them on via the integral headphone or analogue outputs.

MP200

The MP 200 was developed with the design requirement of combining compact dimensions with a wide range of sources. From Bluetooth and CD to the very latest streaming and radio reproduction, the unit is able to exploit all sources to their fullest potential. The MP 200 can handle not only FM, FM-HD and DAB+ reproduction, it also offers equally convenient streaming from mobile devices and local network memory devices. External digital sources benefit equally from its outstanding signal processing capabilities.
Although the MP 200 works with any D/A converter, its overall design was developed to provide a special synergy when used with the Series 200 converters – the DAC 200 and HA 200 (headphone amplifier): the T+A SYS Link exchanges control data, routes audio signals along the optimum path, and allows the MP 200 to become the command centre of a complete system when the T+A MusicNavigator app is used.

A200

In designing the A 200 output stage it was our goal to combine maximum amplifier power with audiophile sound characteristics. On the one hand this means 250 Watts of continuous power per channel, and on the other hand this substantial power does not result in a reduction in terms of subtle detail, resolution and fine dynamics. Its heatsinks are both a technical necessity and a design statement: they show off every Watt of power in impressive style as well as ensuring efficient heat dispersion – even under maximum load. The A 200 output stage was developed with the aim of functioning either as a potent complement to an existing system, or as the high-performance end of a perfectly matched chain of specialised audiophile devices in combination with the Series 200.

We only believe in power when we can use it in practice with efficiency and precision. In our search to achieve the optimum blend of sound quality, power and efficiency, we have developed a completely new circuit topology which combines T+A’s unique HV and High-Frequency sine-wave mains power supply technology with that of the PURIFI Eigentakt™ output stages. By this means we have succeeded in converting raw power into unsurpassed audiophile performance. All circuits and circuit boards are designed and executed by our own development team, and the PURIFI modules implemented within them. The damping factor of the A 200 can be reduced if a warmer or softer sound image is desired in combination with particular loudspeakers.

THE E SERIES

The new E-series consists of three devices which have been developed from the ground up, based on important technologies which we incorporated in our High-End R-series. The PA 1000 E is an audiophile integrated amplifier which is complemented perfectly by the MP 1000 E Multi Source Player. The amplifier provides a set of additional analogue inputs, while its modern output stage technology and enormous power output enable it to drive loudspeakers – even large and demanding types – to perfection.
The MP 1000 E now offers the same range of facilities offered by the High-End R-series Music Player, and its new DAC is capable of processing high-resolution PCM and even DSD files. It also features a high-quality CD mechanism, a new Streaming Client, music services, Bluetooth streaming, FM, FM-HD and DAB+ radio, as well as supplementary digital inputs for external sources, including USB Device and Master Mode.
It was almost inevitable that we have also combined these two exceptional separate components to form a single machine – the R 1000 E Music Receiver. It marries the essential elements of both units, and constitutes an inspired all-purpose machine; it is the ideal first step into the audiophile world of the E-series. The fourth – and latest – device in the series is the PA 1100 E integrated amplifier, containing as standard a high-performance DAC module.

The individual devices are controlled using the infra-red system remote control handset. Alternatively the T+A MusicNavigator App can be used in conjunction with devices featuring the Streaming Client (R 1000 E and MP 1000 E). The optional high-quality gateway module to operate the R 1000 E and the MP 1000 E using the FD 100 bi-directional radio remote control system can be retro-fitted at any time.

PA1100E

The latest device in the series is the PA 1100 E integrated amplifier. All the sub-assemblies are identical to those of the PA 1000 E, but the PA 1100 E has additional digital inputs and a digital board instead of the second XLR input. This allows many digital sources to be connected at very high quality. The USB-B input even makes it possible to play very high resolution files from a PC. Music transfer from mobile devices at superb Bluetooth APT-X quality is also provided. A further option is the additional installation of an HDMI circuit board with Audio Return channel for the television set.

R1000E  –  Music Receiver

This all-purpose device contains the genes of the superlative PA 1000 E and MP 1000 E separate devices. It is equipped with the very latest technologies and components, and certainly ranks as one of the most modern and innovative receivers available anywhere in the world. It combines classic analogue technology for the amplifier section with the latest digital circuit design for the internal sources. It also features a large number of extremely high-quality inputs for external analogue and digital sources, making it the perfect universal nerve centre of a really modern, high-quality stereo system. It can cope with almost anything: you can connect a turntable (optional phono modules are available) or improve the sound of your television; connect a set-top box using an optical lead, or even stream music from a PC – there are no limits!

Like the MP1000E, the R 1000 E can access everything which delivers music: CD, FM, FM-HD and DAB+ radio; Internet radio with Airable Internet Radio Service; UPnP network music servers; USB memory media; laptops and PCs, music services and mobile devices with Bluetooth!

MP1000E  –  Media Player 

This is a unique device reflecting an ingenious design philosophy, as it combines the classic music source of CD with the ability to play digital music formats from a vast range of sources! Please note: the MP 1000 E is NOT a computer; it is a first-class audiophile CD player incorporating supplementary functions designed to enable other internal and external digital sources to exploit its outstanding converter. With this aim in mind
we developed a mainboard which can process five different digital sources at superb quality and devoid of jitter; a new Streaming Client (SCL), which is a network-enabled processor board featuring WLAN, LAN and USB interfaces; a high-quality digital tuner; a High-End CD mechanism and a Digital Connecting Board fitted with five high-quality digital SP/DIF inputs, a computer USB input and an aptX® Bluetooth module.

LOUDSPEAKERS

T+A’s first products were actually loudspeakers! They still offer a substantial and diverse range of high performance, value for money products in this sector.

TALIS

For almost twenty years now the Talis name has been a byword for speakers crafted from solid aluminium which offer extraordinarily good sound, look fabulous and are made to uniquely high standards. Aluminium as primary material opens up a wide range of options in terms of sculptural form, surface finish and design which are simply not attainable from cabinets made of wood.

Our use of sophisticated extrusion tools enables us to produce extremely rigid cabinets whose internal volume is high in spite of their slender, compact shape. This in turn allows the speakers to reproduce bass – even very low frequencies – superbly, whilst eliminating any trace of cabinet resonance.

Not a single screw is visible in the organically shaped baffle, which is designed to generate a perfect radiation pattern over the full mid / treble range. The resultant imaging characteristics are phenomenally good. The latest generation of thoroughbred drive units and cross-overs are the key to the superb sound qualities of the new Talis loudspeakers.

The S 300 is a compact floor-standing speaker of great beauty. This unique loudspeaker is just 21 cm wide and 105 cm tall, and typifies the philosophy behind the entire series in terms of technology and sound quality: heavy cabinets made of solid aluminium, high-end speaker drivers and cross-over units, and an open sound image, devoid of distortion, with a wide dynamic range and superb bass response.
