Over at Darko, John Darko has been listening to the new T+A Symphonia – which is a compact streaming integrated amplifier from Germany that manages to pack a lot of serious hi-fi into a small, beautifully finished chassis. It’s an all-in-one solution with Class D power, T+A’s own ASA G3 streaming platform, a proper MM/MC phono stage, FM and DAB tuners, HDMI ARC, a capable headphone output – and a pair of neat little VU meters that nod to classic design. It’s positioned firmly in the high-end bracket, but the reviewer makes clear that build quality and feature set justify the price.
In use, the Symphonia impressed as a versatile, no-nonsense hub: you can stream directly via Roon, Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify or AirPlay 2, or plug in analogue and digital sources, with the important detail that the analogue inputs remain purely analogue. The onboard DAC, derived from T+A’s DAC 200, offers clean, polished, dynamic sound; the phono stage adds punch and sparkle; and the Purifi Eigentakt module delivers rhythmically lively, transparent amplification.
The verdict? The reviewer praises its clarity, separation, and drive, noting that it makes music sound exciting and detailed without unnecessary embellishment.
In short: a compact, elegant all-rounder that delivers proper high-end performance.
