Video Spotlight: T+A Introduces the New SDX 3100 HV and A 3100 HV
We recently attended the High End 2026 Show in Vienna, Austria – where we got to see and hear all about the exciting new T+A products! A recent video presented by Soundstage! Network joins T+A and provides an in-depth look at two major additions to its flagship HV range: the new SDX 3100 HV streaming preamplifier/DAC and A 3100 HV power amplifier.
Rather than presenting them as simple updates, T+A explains how both products represent significant developments over their predecessors. The A 3100 HV succeeds the long-running A 3000 HV, introducing a unique operating concept that allows users to switch between a high-power mode and a high-current mode that dramatically increases pure Class A operation to up to 80 watts per channel. According to T+A, this results in lower distortion, greater linearity and a substantial improvement in sound quality.
The video also highlights the SDX 3100 HV, which combines the functions of a high-end streamer, DAC and preamplifier in a single chassis. T+A describes it as drawing technology from several of its reference products, adding the latest G3 streaming platform, a new colour display, improved phono stage options, balanced relay-controlled volume circuitry and an entirely analogue headphone amplifier.
Throughout the presentation, T+A repeatedly emphasises its engineering philosophy, focusing on mechanical isolation, separate power supply compartments and fully balanced signal paths to minimise noise and interference.
The overall message of the video is clear: these are not cosmetic revisions but substantial advances intended to deliver higher performance, greater flexibility and an even more refined listening experience. For existing HV owners and those considering a reference-level system, the SDX 3100 HV and A 3100 HV are well worth a closer look.
